Based in Sydney, VOA Fine Jewellery offers simple, everyday jewellery designs that are crafted to the finest possible quality. After growing up in the industry and becoming a certified gemmologist, Vira Pirom decided to launch her own brand after daydreaming about it in a sermon one day.
From pretty birthstone chokers to meaningful eternity rings, Vira only sells jewellery that she herself would wear. She does a fantastic job of accentuating the beauty of natural gemstones by placing the stones in simple, wearable designs that will become a staple in your wardrobe. We chat to Vira to learn more about the story behind her brand.
When did you first fall in love with jewellery?
“I would make my own jewellery to wear rather than buying it. Because jewellery and gemstones were always around, I started to love what I created.”

How did you start your brand?
“Although I've grown up in the industry, I never thought about creating my own line. However, the idea of VOA actually began during a sermon about two years ago. Rather than listening to the Pastor speak, I was thinking about my design and how I can get the brand launched during the whole session!”
What are your core brand values?
“We will never send out pieces that we wouldn't wear ourselves. We strive to make sure that every single piece of jewellery we create is of the highest possible quality.”

How is your jewellery made?
“Our jewellery is created and assembled in Sydney, each stone is quality controlled and passed by myself as a certified gemmologist before it’s set into our jewellery.”
If you weren’t designing jewellery, what would you be doing?
“I would still be a gemmologist.”
If you could travel to one place right now, where would it be?
“Africa!! I'd love to take inspiration from their culture and food. And of course, being able to experience the Safari's.”
